The storm continues. With no electricity, no information and no way to get any, all we can do is wait. But we are safe hunkered down in this bunker and we are grateful.
Have you ever noticed that the only time we use the word "hunker" or "hunker down" is when we talk about disasters? We only "hunker down" during a storm. We never hunker down on a bright sunny day.
Sometime around 4:00 am Maria moved on, out over the open ocean. Its funny: after 24 hours the sound of hurricane-force winds became the norm. Now the quiet after the storm is strange.
