We woke up early - in the dark - to get up to feed the horses. The farrier is coming early.
After months of flashlights and solar lights, the electric lights are overly bright and harsh. When I went down to the kitchen to make coffee (water heated in a pan then poured through the coffee maker, same way I've made it for months), I couldn't take the electric light. I used the little solar light I've used all along. When we came home for the night, we went back to solar lights, candles and flashlights.
I will say we already don't miss the noise and the smell of the generators. The quiet is nice. But we do miss the stars and the darkness at night.
No rain today.
